If I hadn't made me, I would've been made somehow

Incubus - Make Yourself

Big thanks to Posch for pointing me towards the place where I got these from. It's fun time, let's watch the fun meter spin out of control

I Believe In a Thing Called Love by The Darkness

"I wanna kiss you every minute, every hour, every day
You got me in a spin but everythin' is A.OK!"

You played it cheesy and campy in 2004, but you know how to rock out.

You Belong in 1968

1968

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

Statement

This is not from a song. It's early and my brain is not functioning at the level it should.

I'd like to reflect on the events of the past few days if I can. First, let me say that I am heartily sorry for offending or hurting anyone.

@Heather - I know what I did was wrong. It was never MY intention to embarass or humiliate you. I wasn't totally cool with the guys being there myself. As a matter of fact, I was disappointed. I was disappointed that those girls can't take a fucking 6-hour period out of their life without some sort of male interaction. Looking back on it now, it was a retarded idea and I shouldn't have participated. I had 2 hours of 'girl time' -- at the restaurant. And that wasn't enough. I don't even know why I went. I don't like to dance. Guess I just needed to get away from my problems for a while. I never meant for any of this to happen. I didn't understand why the guys needed to be there. But I went along with it. This is where I lost track of myself and who I am. I'm not a mean person. Never have been, it's not in my nature to be so rude. I dont' blame you for being angry at me. I don't blame you if you decide never to speak to me again or invite me places. If someone did this to me, I'd be hurt as well. I never fathomed that you'd be embarassed. And it never was my intention for you to be embarrased. I can't speak for the others, but I believe it was more of a way to knock Steve than anything else. I'm sorry and I do hope that sometime you will be able to forgive me.

@others - In my defense, this was not my idea. I'm not going to publicly ostracize the person whose idea it was, but a couple of you already know. I was against it up until probably last Wednesday or Thursday, when I knew that my resistance would be fruitless. I'm not the only one who knew. There were roughtly 10-12 people who knew about this (myself, the Beav, Erich, Toni, Amber, Joe, Yoda, Chuck, Posch, Kris, Scoob, Nate, Angel, Nix)(though in his defense, he knew about it only because I told him, knowing full well he wouldn't come out to the 'festivities'. As a matter of fact, I bitched and complained to him about how dumb it was that guys had to be involved, if I remember correctly, so don't be too mad at him for knowing. That was totalyl my fault). With the exception of myself, Beav, and a handful of other people, no one else seems to care that people are upset by this. Care isn't the right word -- they don't seem to understand what the big deal is about their actions. However, silence and inaction on this was something I shouldn't have had. Heather's right, this is all high school bullshit -- what we did. However, if others weren't engaged in some high school shit of their own, this never would have happened. I'm not blaming anyone for that. I'm just saying. I also better not be the only one to get the blame for this, as there were 14 other people who knew -- people that you guys trust for the most part. Ask them why they didn't tell. I don't know their intentions as to why they didn't. That's them, this is me. It hurts to lose friends, I've lost a couple myself. I hope I do not lose all you guys over this. I truly am sorry to the rest of you, that you had to sit back and watch this unfold. If you have any questions or wish to discuss this personally with me, you know how to reach me. I just want this to go away.

Thank you for listening to my ragged, disjointed defense/apology statement.
I return you to your regularly scheduled lives.

Final Thought -- sorry Steve, I had to.
Enjoy every moment you have with those around you. You never know when they'll be gone.

And we die young, faster we run

from We Die Young by Alice in Chains

I chose the above title line because yesterday, April 19, was the day that they found Layne Staley dead from an OD of heroin and coke in Seattle. He died on April 5, 2002, which is eerie in itself. That's the same day Kurt died, eight years after. Eerie. And sad too. Oh well. I've always been a huge AIC fan and don't plan to quit any time soon. I do remember where I was. I was sitting outside the Blue Note in Columbia, with some kids from my station. It was the annual KCOU Springfest concert. The Blue Note was the rainsite. It was pouring. This dude, Ryan, pulled me aside and said, "Layne Staley's dead." I was like "NOOOOO". I went immediately to my sanctuary, the metal bar down the street. I've never seen a 300 lb metalhead cry before, but the tears and the whiskey were flowing. AIC was on the jukebox. It was surreal. The lightning and thunder started hitting right after the opening notes of 'Rain When I Die'.

Oh well. Time for other stuff.

--Changed the topic for my final project in grad school. It's not due for a while. I just need to have part of it done to pass this one class. Leave it to me to change it two weeks before the damn thing is due. Oh well, I'm more comfortable with this topic.

--The Amityville Horror was better than I thought it was gonna be. Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder) did really well in it.

--The nerd countdown has begun! 9 days until Yoda, Sparkamus Prime, and myself go see Hitchhiker's Guide. I can't wait. That book (along with Heller's Catch-22) was passed around amongst my college friends like it was a cheap whore.

--My uncle is in town. Can't wait to see him. I don't get to see him very much, as he lives in California.

I think that's it. This is a pretty boring blog entry. Oh well, thanks for reading.

Oh, it's such a perfect day. I'm glad I spent it with you

The above lyric is from Lou Reed's Perfect Day

So yeah, today was about perfect. It started off simple enough -- did the whole 'go to work' thing.

Okay, I gotta flash back to last night, because that pretty much started off my perfect day. I wasn't gonna do anything after work -- was just gonna kick back and do nothing, watch TV, read, and pay bills. I ended up at the Grind in the Central West End until 2:30 am, kicking back with friends, drinking loads of cappucino and playing cards. It was great. Everyone seemed to have a really good time.

I'd like to take this time to reflect on old friends. You know, a lot of people have come and gone out of my friendship circle. However, I love the fact that these people genuinely care for me and that our friendships have endured some 10+ years without major obstacles. I've known Yoda since I was 6, and Chuck, Nate, and Joe since I was 15. Amber and Toni are people I met in high school, but they're my girls. I've known Epps since I was 16. It's just weird how we're all still so tight. I think it says something for how much stock they put in friendship. Not even friendship really, now that I think about it. More like family, kicking back and hanging out with family. True, I get my share of bullshit from some of them (I'm looking directly at you, YODA!) , but there's never been a major squabble between me and any of them (except Joe, but I wouldn't want to live with me either. And we've made amends and moved on). It's just so strange to me. Sometimes I wonder why they've kept me around so long, and I realized a long time ago, it's because they value what I bring to their lives, just as I value what they bring to mine. Not that I don't love my newer friends, but something has to be said about the 8-10 year bond I have with a lot of these guys.

Anyway, so I worked. Then I decided to meet up with Yoda, Chuck, and Amber at Forest Park. After braving Zoo traffic and seriously thinking about hitting some slow pedestrians, I made it to the park across from the Muny. We tossed the football around (I tossed it badly. I used to be able to throw a mean spiral, alas, it's no more) and played croquet. Yes, Jason owns a croquet set. We sat around, talked, made fun of Chuck, and drank beer. Then we went to Ted Drewes. It was lovely. I don't get to Ted Drewes much. My boss always has me go up there and get him ice cream. I usually don't get anything. Ice cream is a once in a while thing for me. A great while. I"m more of the orange sherbet type. And gelato, which is this amazing Italian ice cream. I love gelato.

Then Nix came home!!! YAY!!!

Then I went and saw The Amityville Horror. Quite a decent flick.

I'm home now. It's 2:30 in the morning. Tommorow is pay bills, go to the store, do homework day.

Could it be possible? For the first time in a long while, I've had back to back solid, good weeks, and amazing weekends. I feel good.

Other highlights that made this a true 'perfect day'
1. The weather -- could it be anymore pretty outside?!
2. I heard and rocked out to Bohemian Rhapsody twice on the radio today. It's always a good day when you hear Bohemian Rhapsody twice in one day.
3. My apartment is relatively clean. Except for the bedroom and the bathroom, it looks pretty good.
4. In less than 48 hours, my Uncle John from California will be here. I'm excited. Don't get to see him very much. He's fun.

I think that's all. I'm not gonna do a 'ponder this' because I don't care to do it. I'm gonna quit it with the 'features' thing. When I feel like putting something up, I will.

That's all. Thank you all for visiting.

My palms are getting wet, sweating bullets

Above lyric by Megadeth from the song Sweating Bullets

It's weird how such an uneventful Sunday can turn into an adventure. It's always an adventure over here at La Casa de Hizzo. Join me for a recap, will you?

I got home last night and walked into a furnace. It was burning up in here. I turned the AC down and went to bed.

I woke up this morning and it was still hot. Well, long story short, AC is on the fritz. I've been dripping sweat all day. I feel disgusting. I think I've discovered/maybe fixed the problem. I bought a new clean shiny air filter and am currently waiting for some ice, yes ice, on one of the pipes in the utility closet to melt. Hopefully that'll do it. I really don't want to wait a week for maintenance to come fix it.

Washed my car today. it's shiny and pretty and clean. However, it's gonna be short lived, as it's supposed to rain for the next 3 fucking days.

To all of you who were offended that you didn't get an invite last night, I sincerly apologize. We weren't shunning you. I actually didn't even think of it, because I knew you probably wouldn't come anyway. It was just a little gathering. It's not like we were sitting around plotting world domination or making fun of you guys. We were making fun of the people there, not those that weren't there. Don't sweat it. If you wish, you can take it up with Amber or Joe or Scuba, because they too have your phone numbers and none of them thought to call. Once again, I apologize, even though I don't understand what I did wrong.

I think that's it. Just a quick update. I have a headache.

Pussy slash cat

You had to be there. You really did.

Tonight was one of the funnest nights I've had in a long time. Good times with good friends. Only thing missing was Nix, but it was still fun nonetheless.

Here's a quick recap:
WEnt to this new Pan-Asian restaurant (not Pan as in Panama, pan meaning 'across') called Jimmi Yins. The food was cheap and good, extremely good.

Then we went over to Amber's for games and drinks. That's where things got interesting. Someone, who will remain nameless for anonimity reasons, was asking a question on a card to someone else. It was something like "Your significant other gets a cat one day while you are at work. You are allergic to cats. Do you make them get rid of it?" Well, instead of saying 'cat', SHE (only identifying characteristic to be used -- that and it's the a person you wouldn't even expect to hear the word 'pussy' from) said "Your significant other gets a pussy slash (/) cat and blah blah blah". We fucking lost it. I am going to get a cat. I will name this cat Pussy slash Cat. We then ribbed Jason for having sex with Libby, argued as to whether or not a vibrator and a dildo are the same thing (they SO are not the same thing), laughed over the definition for a Tahitian Facemask that we found on the internet....it's disgusting. Think Dirty Sanchez or Donkey Punch, only much much dirtier. I'll go ahead and tell you all. Note : gross stuff coming up, you may want to skip this if you are grossed out. For those of you who aren't, see the blank spot below...highlight that with your cursor. I've blacked it out for those who don't want to read it at all. I've given you ample warning. Don't come to me saying how sick I am for posting it. I've disclaimed.

A Tahitian Facemask is when someone covers the face of a person with Saran Wrap, shits on the Saran Wrap, covers the shit with another piece of Saran Wrap, and then punches the person in the face.

Yummy. If any guy did this to me, I'd make him eat it. Then I'd kill him.

I learned things about my friends that I didn't want to know, but found strangely amusing at the same time. Again, you had to be there. Sucks that you weren't. Your loss. Fuckers. Just kidding.

Other than that, shit's going pretty well. I miss Nix, but he'll be home tomorrow. Have some homework to finish tomorrow -- a wonderful presentation on word histories and a chapter reflection.

The Pope is in heaven. He's buried. Can we stop it with the news coverage already?

My sister's boyfriend got jumped real bad last night. He got his jaw fractured in about 4 places and has a black eye. Needless to say, he fucked the other guy up pretty bad from what my sis says. Think knee to the face. Broke the dude's nose. It's a long story. I am just glad that he wasn't hurt worse. My sister says that his face looks like Shrek's, only less green and more swollen.

I threw a Hizzy fit tonight, but it was a very mild one. It was regarding a certain person (ME!) making a certain mistake when I was 18, and am not able to live down to this day. No, it's nothing bad, but if you know the one recurring joke about me (other than that I'm a guy, tit jokes, and jokes about me falling down a lot -- thanks Yoda.), you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Anyway, it's near 4 and I have a long day of doing about an hour of homework and sitting on my ass all day. Actually, I might get out and take a walk, maybe walk Oakville's track for an hour. Wish I had an I-Pod (mega birthday hint for all you big spenders out there).

Goodnight.

What a cute pussy slash cat,
Hizzy

Ponder these :
If you can't drink and drive, why do bars have parking lots?

Does the reverse side also have a reverse side?

Why is the alphabet in that order?

and finally, a riddle....

3 men walk into a hotel to get a room for the night. The man at the desk tells them that the room will be 30 dollars. Each man chips in 10 dollars. A little while later, the man at the desk realizes that the rooms are actually 25 dollars, so he sends his bellhop with $5 back to the room that the men are in. On the way to the room, the bellhop wonders how he is going to split $5 between the 3 guys. He gives each of the 3 men $1 back, and keeps $2 for himself. That left the 3 guys each paying $9 for the room.

3(guys) x 9 (dollars) = 27 dollars + $2 that the bellhop kept = 29 dollars

What happened to the other dollar?

Ponder that. Word problems suck.

If I Would, Could You?

I've decided to stop it with the song titles for a while and go to lyrics. Lyrics say so much more than song titles. Today's particular lyric has nothing to do with this blog entry. I just really enjoy the song and like that Alice in Chains ended it this way. You don't hear many songs that end with a question like that. By the way, for those of you who don't know, this is from Would? by Alice in Chains.

Things seem to be looking up in Hizzyville. My car was sick, but is much better now. I was sick, but I am much better now. Nix was sick, but he's much better now. Seems that sickness has been a constant in my life for the last month or so. I'm glad it's over, really. Sick is depressing.

I had a really good weekend. The highlight of it was getting to go to the grocery store and get provisions. I now have lots of yummy food.

Speaking of food, I need to lose about 10 lbs. I need to start walking again. I'd join a gym, but I just don't have that kind of money. I was going well losing weight, but then I just got lazy and started eating Jack in the Box a lot. That'll put the pounds on anyone, except Beaver. The dude lives on JITB and doesn't gain a pound. I don't think Beaver can get fat. I wish I had his metabolic rate.

Speaking of money, I'm thisclose to having all my bills paid. And I got a grand plus back from my federal income taxes. Go me. Having money in savings is good.

I am the proud owner of a plant now. I forget what kind of plant it is. My mom told me. But it's little and cool and gives my kitchen some life.

Things seem to be looking up in the Scarlet Whore camp. We have procured a new lead singer named Jarrod. He's a good guy, very loyal to the band, and such a departure vocally from Erk. Our first show back is Friday and I am expecting quite a huge turnout. The last 2 times I've been to this club, it's been pretty full. Kids in Wentzville don't have anything else to do on a Friday night.

The news has been pissing me off lately. Yep, I'm complaining. Fuck you. We have a war going on, children are starving on our streets, we may not have Social Security in 20 years, gas prices are through the roof and what is Congress concerned about? Juiced up millionaires. Frankly, I don't care if Mark McGwire did steroids. If he did, fuck him. He's a cheater. If he didn't, then shut up about it. But does Congress really need to take a stand? Congress has much more important things to focus on.

And this Terri Schaivo thing. GIve me a goddamned break. I'm not even going to get into this one. I'm liable to rant all night and into tomorrow morning. All I will say is this...make a living will, go to the bank, get it notarized, and have 2 witnesses sign it in front of the notary. Make your requests known. Who knows when you're gonna be put in a situation where one of your family members has to decide your fate and you don't have any legal declaration of your wishes. It will save everyone a lot of trouble and ultimately, your wishes will be honored.

I'd really like to thank everyone for participating in my little March Music Mayhem thing on the Bugjuice board. The best is yet to come. Rumour has it, there may be a prize in it at the end for someone.

I'd like to introduce a NEW feature to the Hizzblog. I'm going to put a disclaimer on this right now. This is exclusive to my blog and my blog alone. If anyone steals this, I'm going to be very angry. VERY angry. This was my idea and I would like to be able to keep it that way. Thank you.

Ponder This:
If God dropped acid, would he see people?
If you try to fail, and you succeed, which have you done?

Blind

Featured song title is by Korn
--------------------------------

Yep, you heard it right, folks. Blind. I'm blind. Well, not exactly. Ok, let me shut up and explain. I broke my glasses today. I stepped on them and snapped the frame in two. The lenses are fine, but I wasn't about to tape them together. Thank god I have contacts. Guess who's warranty on her glasses ran out in February -- MINE! It's okay. New frames are only gonna cost me about 30 bucks. I'm gonna go get it all taken care of tomorrow and should have new frames by this time next week. I'm so retarded.

I took some pretty pictures of myself today. I needed them for my MySpace page. No, they're not dirty pics, you pervs. Just face pics. And yes, the horns are being thrown. Did you expect anything less? I didn't think so.

I got a new bird feeder for all the little birdies outside of my apartment and wouldn't you know it, the fucker broke today. It was really windy here. It blew down from it's hanging position and the lid is now shattered. I'm gonna hoosier-rig it good though. Yes, I have a bird feeder. No, I don't care if you laugh at me. I'm such an old woman.

Rumour has it that Black Sabbath may be making a stop in the Lou on their US tour. I will post the date as soon as I get it.

I got my shoes for Toni and Erich's wedding. I love them. They're so cool looking. Makes me want to get dressed up just so I can wear them.

I think that's all.

Time for Livin'

**Time For Livin' is a song by the Beastie Boys. While the Beasties have fallen off in the last couple years, this still remains one of my all time favorite Beastie Boys songs.**

So I haven't updated lately. Sue me. Go ahead. I'm mainly doing this so Beaver will stop telling me to update my blog.

I think I'm back among the living. I was sick as a dog for about the last two weeks. It was a hellacious sickness, like the flu and a cold on top of each other. Fuck, I wanted to die. Thank god for good drugs. I like medicine that makes me sleepy. And I am such a trooper, I didn't miss a damn day of work. Go me! Making money and having drowsy medicine. WOO!!!! In the process, I got Nix sick though. He's getting much better. He's not mute anymore. I felt so bad, having gotten him sick. I really didn't mean to. It just happened.

My car is pretty much fucked, or at least on the way to being fucked. I most likely have a leaky head gasket, causing antifreeze to leak into the oil, thereby making the oil all ucky. I may have to take it to the dealership, rendering me carless for an indeterminate amount of time. Guess I should get a bus schedule, cause that's probably the only way my ass is getting to work. Yay! The bus! With hoosiers and crack addicts! I can't wait.

My band got pretty new pictures taken last night. They turned out well. Can't wait to see the cleaned-up product. In other news, this is an open call for people to come out and support local music on the 25th of this month at the Midwest Music Pit in Wentzville. It should be a good time. No wait, strike that. I WILL be a good time.

I think that's it. I've decided to kill the 'Word of the Day' idea. It's been done. It's tired. I give you --

I Want Candy

**I Want Candy is the most rockingest song in the world. It's by MC Chris, who voices the lovely singing voice of MC Pee Pants on Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I give I Want Candy 5 gigantic horns up**

I'm tired. I had a hard day today, with work and then a whopping 5 hours of school. Someone shoot me, for the love of god.

Nix is entering his shorts in the Tromadance Film Festival. It's pretty cool. Even if he doesn't win, it's still even cool to be considered for something like that.

I'd like to address something that's been on my mind for about a week now. Some of you may be well aware of some of the things going on between Beaver and Quill and Heather. It's a big mess. Now, I'm not going to sit here and defend Beaver's actions or try to justify why Steve and Heather are mad. I think all that is abundantly clear. What I am going to do is say, no wait, ask that everyone leave me the hell out of it. This means that if you call me, it better not be to talk about Steve or to talk about Beaver. Frankly, this shit happens every week. It's something different every time someone gets mad. I'm just really tired of hearing about it. I've got Beaver calling me 5 times a day to bitch about Steve and I've got Steve calling me almost every day to talk about how mad he is at Beaver or whatnot. I'm sick and fucking tired of it. I have too much on my own mind to be concerned with someone's views about something that I'm not even involved in, for once. I'm not saying don't call me, but you better have a better reason than to bitch about someone. I think there are a lot of people in this group who just really are getting sick of all this crap. How long can be beat this dead horse? Steve, if you don't want to be friends with Beaver, fine. Beaver, if that's how you feel about Steve and Heather, fine. I just don't want to hear it anymore. If you're gonna fight about it, fight about it. Just don't drag me into this.

End rant.

Ah, I feel better.

I'd like to introduce a new feature on the Hizzblog. I was tired of looking for fun links. Don't worry, they aren't gone forever. There will be an occasional fun link. However, lately I've felt like putting up a 'word of the day', me being the holder of a BA in English, it's fitting really.

I proudly present, the word of the day, for February 14, 2005

proclivity (pro-cliv-uh-tee) noun
an inclination or predisposition toward something; especially : a strong inherent inclination toward something objectionable

Example sentence : Beaver has had the proclivity for angering people lately

I am proclived to end this journal entry now. Happy Valentine's day

Ice Ice Baby

**It's by Vanilla Ice. It's damn catchy and I know most of the words (fuck you very much, early 90s radio), but it still sucks. One horn up, and a middle finger too**

I can hear little droplets of ice falling outside. It's sorta pretty sounding, until I think about getting to work tomorrow. Woo hoo, fun times. Before I go to bed tonight, I might go see the condition of my car -- whether or not I can even get in the motherfucker, if the windows are iced up. I'm really glad I didn't wash it. It would have been all in vain.

I'm such a fucking nerd. I'm doing schoolwork -- mainly reading, that's all we really do in grad school anyway -- on a fucking Friday night. Oh well, with the bad weather and me being in a dire financial state until I pay rent, it's probably all for the best.

You know, I really thought one of my classes was going to rape me up the ass. My professor is one of the hardest graduate instructors (reputed, at least) and the class seemed like it was going to be hard. Basically, it's the first 3/4 of my thesis. It's gonna be done in this class. I had no clue what I was doing, until I read the first chapter of the book. Now, I have several ideas about what my ARP (Action Research Project -- basically, a project we do at the end of the year that is the Ed. School's version of a thesis, only there is no thesis reading or defense. We essentially create and do a scientific study, with hypotheses and everything. It's hard to explain. Come over and read my syllabus if you want to know more) will be about. I'm not even a week into the class though, it's best not to put all my eggs in one basket. I'm not worried about the other class. Dr. Christensen is an exceptional teacher. I had her last semester and am used to her teaching style and her assignments. Not looking forward to the required fucking chapter reflections on every chapter though. It's busy work and a waste of my time. I'll still do them though, because an A looks a whole lot better than a B.

Okay, enough rambling about dorky stuff. Go ahead, call me a big nerd. I don't care.

Onto fun stuff.

I was going to put my Oscar picks up, but after looking over the list, I realized it would just turn into me ranting. I'll just post them at another time, once I have time to think about them. I still want to have an Oscar party though.

Nix comes home early early Monday morning. I can't wait. I miss him, but I hear that they're doing pretty okay in Texas, so at least that's going well.

This ice is picking up outside. I can hear it. It's pouring down ice. As bored as I am, I'm glad I'm inside. For those of you out in this shit, be safe, please.

I think that's all.

Daddy

*Daddy is a song by Korn. They never do it live in concert because it makes Jonathan Davis cry like a little girl. I think it's a good song. 4 out of 5 metal horns*

Well, we got the results back on my dad. Nope, no stomach cancer. He has what is called Crohn's Disease (pronounced krones). It's an intestinal disease. Basically, my mom said it's like having measles, only on your intestines. It's not curable, but it's not fatal either. He has to take medicine. If you feel like researching it, go ahead. I just did some quick fact checking and it doesn't look pretty. Oh well, at least we know what's wrong with him and that he's not going to die. That's all I hoped for, really.

Nix leaves for texas today. Sad.

Amber moves this weekend. Happy.

Back at school this semester. Mixed.

That's all. I now return you to your regularly scheduled life, already in progress.

Down with the Sickness

**DWTS rules! Disturbed rules! 'Nuff said. 5 horns out of 5**

I recieved some disturbing news today. For those of you who may or may not know, my father is sick. He's been having stomach troubles for the past four months now. He's been to the doctors and they put him on some medication, but it isn't helping. He has to go in for a bunch of tests and scans and various other things. They found ulcers, but gave him medicine to kill the ulcers, but it didn't work, as I said. My grandfather died from stomach cancer within 6 months of being diagnosed. Granted, he also died from cirrhosis of the liver, but mainly stomach cancer. Let's hope things don't go that way for my dad.

Otherwise, things have been going pretty well of late for the Hizzy. Looks like the weather is finally gonna get warmer, at least for a little while.

Ordered my bridesmaid dress for Toni's wedding. It's pretty. I encourage you all to come see me wear a dress. It shall be THE spectator event of the year.

I really don't have much more to say. I'm really worried about my dad. I hope things go better for him and that he gets better. He's a cool guy sometimes and he's really a fun dude to talk to about history and stuff like that. I'm just worried, that's all.

Hope everyone is well.

Let's Build a Snowman (and Make Him Our Best Friend)

**Lets Build a Snowman is a song from the excellent film Cannibal : The Musical. I encourage you all to rent Cannibal. It's hilarious. So is the snowman song. I've posted the lyrics below. I give Let's Build a Snowman 5 huge horns up.**

Let's Build a Snowman

Sometimes, the world is black.
And tears run from your eyes.
And maybe we'll all get really sick.
And maybe we'll all die.
So...

Let's build a snowman!
We can make him our best friend.
We can name him Tom or we can name him George!
We can make him tall, or we can make him not so tall.
Snowman!

He'll have a happy face, a happy smile, a happy point of view.
If you build me a snowman, then I'll build one for you.

So, let's build a snowman!
We can make him our best friend.
We can name him Bob or we can name him Beowulf!
We can make him tall, or we can make him not so tall.
Snowman!

Hey!
(Tapdance solo)

He'll have a happy face, a happy smile, a happy point of view.
If you build me a snowman, then I'll build one for you.
Snowman! Snowman! Snowman!

Short blog this time. I just want to say snow sucks and my apartment complex does too. Fucking hills. I couldn't get home tonight. Ended up sliding around on the hills for a while, Keenan and Chrissy had to come get me unstuck. My car is at Mom's, as we couldn't get to my apartment at all. I miss my car. I hate snow. Fuck it all. It is gonna suck going to work tomorrow. Goddammit.

Die snow die.

So Much to Say

**So Much to Say is by the Dave Matthews Band. Now, I know that DMB sucks really bad, but some of their songs have a nice groove, and besides, it just goes with the blog today. So Much to Say gets 2 horns out of 5.**

So Nix has gone to Jeff City for the weekend. I'm feelin' pretty lonely and down. However, I'm gonna go drown my sorrows in some friends tonight. Hopefully it will be a good time and I can smile a little.

@Amber -- sorry about all the shit going on with you. Congrats on the interview though!

I guess I can't complain though. I've had 3 glorious weeks of Nix being home. Besides, I'm glad he's back to work and making money. I hate to see him broke. Baby, if you're reading this, I'm thinking about you and I love you. Hang in there with Tommy. Where'd the cheese go at?

There's a guys night tomorrow. Supposed to be a drunken good sausage fest. I hope you all get good and drunk because if I find out that any one of you pussed out and didn't drink, there'll be hell to pay, Hizzy style.

I've been working on getting Scarlet Whore some gigs. Did a lot when I got home from work today. Hmmm...Scarlet Whore opening for Black Label Society @ Pops? That's what I'm shooting for. Either that or King Diamond or Danzig, bitch. I'm also looking at several other venues and a possible fest. Ah, the life of a manager, always exciting. There is also the possibility of a major Creepy Crawl show. I'll find out later this month.

I'd like to implore everyone to please visit the forums again. They are dying. How often do you guys watch movies or listen to music or do anything that would warrant a board post? Probably a lot. Come on people, this is a direct order :)

My cable is all fucked up. I"m gonna have to call tech support (read : stay on hold for hours and hours only to talk to someone in India, as is the case with computer tech support. Probably the same for cable). Now, I've been saying that I was gonna do it for about a week, just like adding wiper fluid to my car and framing the pic Amber drew for me. Eventually, everything will get done.

Bought Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. You, over there, stop laughing. It's entertaining, brainless humor. And besides, you can't go wrong with NPH.

Wrote a new song on Acid. Right now, it's just called CoolSong. I wish I could post it on here so that you all could hear it. I'm trying to decide on titles right now. THe top 3 choices are "Scrote", "A Handle on Things" or "Bottom Line". I'm no good at titles. If it were up to me, everything would be labeled "Song 1" "Song 2" etc. Fucking Chemical Brothers already used Loops of Fury. Damn them.

I think that's all for now. Have fun, kids.
